John Victor “J.V.” Locke, age 94, of Greenbrier, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Locke was born March 28, 1930, in McMinnville, TN to the late Jack Alexander Locke and Marcie Lee Sparkman Locke.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War, and was a member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Locke was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Locke; 3 brothers; 6 sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Kristy Locke.
He is survived by a son, Johnny Locke; daughters, Elaine (Larry) Lowe, Becky (Keith) Barnett, and Joy (Jerry) Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary McCollum.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Monday, September 30th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Keith Barnett, Bro. Josh Barnett, and Bro. Charles Baugh officiating. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Lance Locke, Bart Anderson, Brad West, Lt. Col. Clint Galloway, Chad Galloway, Jeff Frazier, Barry Lamoureux, and Jeremy Weekley serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of the service at 1 pm Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice in Mr. Locke’s memory.
