Janet Lynn Braddy Simon, age 78, of Springfield, Tennessee died Thursday, September 16, 2021, at St. Thomas West Nashville. Honoring her request, she will be cremated, and a private family memorial service will be held.
Janet was born March 5, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas to the late Louis Crawford Braddy and Mary Natalie Riggs Braddy. Her brother, John P. Braddy, sister, Shirley Braddy, and son-in-law, Christopher P. Heckethorn also preceded her in death.
She was retired from Government Services Automation in Nashville, TN, where she was an executive assistant. Janet graduated from East High School in Wichita, KS, worked at the Wichita Art Museum which was a great fit for her since she loved art. Prior to moving to Nashville, TN, she lived in Savannah, TN, and worked at C.E. Roser Handle Mill. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved tennis, gardening, cooking, and most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She was excited and looked forward to becoming a great-grandparent soon.
Mrs. Simon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marc Simon and Debbie of Pleasant View, TN; daughter, Kerrie Simon Heckethorn of Dyersburg, TN, grandchildren, McKenzie Simon Ponzio and husband, John; Brock H. Simon; sisters, Sharon Braddy Larkin, Judy Braddy Matheson, and Mary Braddy Kuga and last but certainly not least her loving dog Henry.
