Hazel Baldwin passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on February 22, 1935, in Springfield, TN.

Hazel was known throughout her life as a very hard worker, dedicating many years to her career at Pep Industries and Stouffer Chemical Company. Her commitment to her work reflected her strong work ethic.

Hazel is preceded in death by her sister Helen Choate and parents Jesse and Minnie Varnes.

She is survived by her 5 children Sherry (Ernie) England, Joyce (Raymond) Richardson, Pam (Rex) Gatlin, Jeanne (Fred) England, Carl (Carol) Baldwin; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren as well as numerous friends and loved ones.

Hazel will be remembered most for her warm heart, her love of family, and her exceptional skills in the kitchen—especially her beloved million-dollar pies. She found great joy in cooking, reading, and gathering with her family, treasuring every moment spent at cookouts and get-togethers.

A devoted member of her church community, Hazel worshipped for many years at West Nashville Missionary Baptist Church before moving to Murfreesboro, where she became a cherished part of the New Life Baptist Church family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10:30am to 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life starting at 1:30pm all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN 37221.
